AWESOME Customer Service!

Wow, hats off to Wacom!

About two months ago, my new puppy Zoe was in her terrible teething stage that caused her to chew on EVERYTHING. Including my $300 Wacom Tablet's cord. Knowing that pet damage was likely out of warranty, I called Wacom to negotiate repairs. They told me it would cost $65 plus shipping to repair the cord. $65 is considerably less than $300, so I went with it.

They told me they would bill me the $65 before shipping my tablet back to me. However, I just received my tablet today, with no bill prior to receiving or included in the package.

Now a dishonest person would likely go "Sweet, no bill, I'm free." But I'm not that dishonest, and $65 is still a hefty sum, and if they just forgot to slip the billing slip in but I still need to pay it, I don't want to be caught with an unpaid bill. So I called Wacom to see if there was any payments after all that needed to be made, not that I was complaining, of course.

The operator I spoke to (who was very cordial and eager to help my situation) put me on hold to go and speak to the supervisor of Repairs, to see if indeed there was any payments on my end to be paid. And the repairman, after looking through his computer, found that there was a miscommunication between the computers and the billing department.

When the operator came back on the line, he told me of the mix-up, and that the supervisor told him to tell me "We greatly appreciate your honesty for not receiving a bill, but it would take too much time on our part to find where the kink was, and now that you have your tablet, it would also be rather rude of us to bill you now. Thank you very much for your honesty and for being a Wacom customer, and consider your Wacom tablet returned to you free of charge, minus the shipping you paid to have it sent to us. Merry Christmas!"

Yesterday I went to the Nightwish Concert in Lawrence, KS.

It was so fucking amazing. First rock concert I've been to and I'm so glad this was my first one.

But now I'm in so much misery. I was suffering from allergies yesterday and my screaming for the band didn't help at all.

I got to meet the band, too. Got pictures and autographs on my Dark Passion Play album booklet.
